Go Anyway

Recently, the forecast for the weekend called for bright, sunny skies. This is not what we consider optimal conditions for landscape photography. But, we decided to go shooting anyway because we knew that staying home guaranteed that we would not get any interesting results.
We decided to visit a local park that we hadn't seen in awhile. In the spring, the azaleas are stunning in this park. We knew it was way too early for any azaleas to be blooming but we thought we would scout it anyway.
As we we walking around a man made pond in the park, we noticed the reflections of the trees and clouds in the water. The trees were bare because it was winter and the few clouds in the sky were white and puffy. The bottom of the pond was covered in leaves - something that normally isn't attractive. We really liked what we were able to shoot as a result and stayed quite a while shooting. You can see the results from that shoot in this blog.
It proved to us that even if we don't expect to find anything, we should go anyway- you never know what you may find.
